Sometimes called wild oregano, marjoram originates in the Mediterranean region. It’s used to add a wonderful herbaceous flavor to roasted meats, in tomato and vegetable dishes as part of classic Italian herb blends, and in Polish and German sausage recipes. Sweet and complex, this marjoram herb is also wonderful in homemade vinaigrette dressings. It is also used in cosemetics and has medicinal purposes.
